Main content start

In February 2023, the Deliberative Democracy Lab, together with the California 100 Initiative and the Goldman School of Public Policy at UC Berkeley, convened a scientific sample of roughly 500 Californians to represent the entire state in a Deliberative Poll.  Participants discussed proposals to address some of the most serious challenges facing California over the next several decades.  Topics included housing, energy, agriculture, water, education, health care, social services, criminal justice, and immigration, among others.
