A deliberative democracy experiment will take place in the coming months when 400 Chileans—chosen randomly but representative of the entire country—will debate their opinions on healthcare and pensions. The initiative is spearheaded by the Senate Presidency and the Challenges of the Future Commission, and has the backing of the Tribu Foundation and the support of the Stanford University Center for Deliberative Democracy.
