Deliberation in Schools: Shaping Your Stanford

As a part of Comm 138: Deliberative Democracy Practicum, students in the course conducted an online deliberative poll using our automated moderator platform. The Deliberative Poll conducted a random sample of the undergraduate population. About 200 undergrads participated in the Deliberative Poll over one weekend, where they discussed Stanford and national issues.

A June study conducted by students and researchers in COMM 138: “Applying Deliberative Polling” asked 188 participants to discuss, then rate, the proposal that Stanford “should abolish Greek life.”
