National Deliberative Poll in Croatia
The star-shaped old town of Zvijezda has been an icon of Croatia ever since its beginning in the 16th century. Located in the city of Karlovac, the star has been the focus of recent deliberations surrounding the question of revitalization. In order to assess attitudes on the Star, a national Deliberative Poll was held in Karlovac, Croatia in 2016. Participants primarily deliberated about revitalization of the city core (the Star), the decades of prior revitalization efforts, and the political implications/path forward for achieving restoration.
